Sunday, January 2nd, Lee and I were home for the day. We didn't have alot going on and were trying to catch up from moving and the holidays, etc. That morning after Lee took Blanche downstairs to go potty, he came in and said he thought Blanche had worms. OMG, yes she did have worms. We haven't dealt with this before, Lily never had them so we called an emergency vet and took her in. We were there a couple of hours and they told us it really isn't a big deal, puppies usually do get worms. We were just worried about Lily getting them and we don't have a vet for Blanche yet. So long story short, we dewormed her (and I now call her wormy) and she is back to healthy. We cleaned, vacuumed, washed everything and I think we have been successful at not having a new infestation. Lily never got them (and the Vet Tech was so nice and gave us some deworming pill for her). Blanche has to go to the regular vet and get another dose of deworming pills next week and then she is done. Good news.
That same evening I got a call from my Dad and he gave me the news of my Grandmother passing away. So, all in all, it wasn't a great Sunday and it was a really long week. We went to Bryan/College Station on Tuesday for the visitation and Wednesday for the funeral. It was a graveside service and it was really great to meet and talk with several of my Grandmother's friends that are still living. It was good to see family that we don't get to see often. And Lee was great, he was there for whatever I needed! That meant so much to me! I have attached some pictures of our family that we took before the funeral (hence everyone in black).
